Parmenter Community Health Care is one of only local independent, non-profit provider of home and hospice care remaining in the Boston MetroWest regions. The Campaign for Endowment enables us to retain our independence while continuing to provide high quality, personalized, compassionate care.

Our endowment goal of $5 million will enable us to:

• Guarantee the quality of care for which Parmenter is known
• Take advantage of future opportunities and to remain responsive to the changing needs of our communities
• Navigate the troubled healthcare reimbursement system in years to come
• Continue Jonathan Maynard Parmenter’s legacy of caring

to make an investment in Parmenter’s future.

"Christa and I came to the United States as immigrants from Germany back in the 1950’s when we were both in our teens.

We were overwhelmed at that time by the tremendous generosity and openness shown to us by virtually all of the Americans that we ran into.

In the more than 50 years since then, we’ve become increasingly fond of the United States and have been very fortunate in establishing a family in this country and being generally very successful both personally and professionally.

One of the American traditions that Christa and I have come to respect is that if you’re lucky in life, you give something back. Along those lines, we have identified a number of causes to support financially and none of these causes is worthier than Parmenter / Wayside Hospice. It’s many volunteers and its staff are extremely dedicated and are providing a much needed and strong service to the local communities that they serve.
