Please ask us about Parmenter’s Personal Emergency Response System, an optional service that provides both patient and family with a sense of security. Palliative Care services are offered to those with life ending diseases as a bridge to hospice care. An important consideration in choosing Parmenter is that should deteriorating health necessitate hospice, Parmenter home care patients can transition to our hospice program and be cared for by the same compassionate Parmenter home care staff members they have come to know and trust. Our unbroken chain of care eases anxiety, enhances outcome, and reduces stress on families and caregivers. To make an immediate patient referral for yourself or another – any time day or night – call Patient Referrals – 508-358-3000In an independent 2007 home care Patient Survey, 100% of responding patients said they were very or completely satisfied with their care, and would recommend Parmenter to others or choose us again for themselves. “… every individual we encountered was the best at what he or she did.” R.M., WaylandYou have the right to choose a home care or hospice provider. Personal Emergency SystemSupporting independent living through a two-way communication system that is monitored 24/7 and, when activated, initiates an emergency response. A Personal Emergency Response System, PERS, gives participants a direct access to help in an emergency. Most individuals who participate live independently and want to have quick access to help should they fall or become ill. The client wears a small device called a personal transmitter. When help is needed, they just press a button. A signal is sent over standard telephone lines to a response center staffed 24 hours a day. The PERS has the client's name, address, health profile, emergency and non-emergency contact names and phone numbers, and other important information in a database. The system also includes a help console with a speaker so Health Watch monitoring staff and the client can talk to each other. Response center staff arrange emergency and non-emergency assistance.
