Volunteer Opportunities

"You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late." — Ralph Waldo Emerson

There is much to do at Parmenter. A staff of more than 100 professionals serves the people of our many local communities, both at our facilities and in their neighborhoods. They could not do it all and enable us to grow without the help and kindness of our dedicated volunteers.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back to the community, to make friends, enrich your life and share your skills and talents in productive and helpful ways.

Perhaps you’ll learn new things along the way. In fact, we offer training for some of our volunteer programs, such as hospice.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Why not consider one of our current Volunteer opportunities. Email our Volunteer Coordinator or call 508-358-3000, for more information. It could change your life.

The Garden is open to the public throughout the year. Would you like to:

  • Hold vesper services in the Garden?
  • Or bring a picnic
  • Or hold a committee meeting?
  • Perhaps a service of healing?

Volunteers also help with summer and fall maintenance and spring clean-up.

Community Events

Community events and outreach projects take place throughout the year. Whether you can chair an event, co-chair a committee, or volunteer for just a day, there is an opportunity to serve. Annual events include: Fall Gala, Lights of Remembrance, Christmas Concert & Luncheon, and our Spring Golf Tournament at Charter Oak Country Club.
